Water Heaters

Looking for a new water heater?
We have a variety of types and sizes to meet your specific needs:

Water Heater from GVEC Home Store

Conventional (Tank Storage) Electric Water Heaters

These are the most popular types of water heaters on the market today because they are the least expensive to buy and install. Water is stored and heated in the tank at all times by two internal heating elements, so hot water is there when you need it. Because the water is constantly being heated, energy is wasted, so it’s important to consider buying a unit with a well-insulated tank. It may cost more upfront, but in the long run, it will save money on your electric bill.

Electric Heat Pump Water Heater

Heat pump water heaters are relatively new on the market and can be more energy efficient than conventional water heaters. Operating just like a heat pump air conditioner, the unit draws in ambient heat from the surrounding air and channels it through coils wrapped around the tank. The heat is transferred to the water in the tank. This innovative process creates the same amount of hot water as a traditional water heater, but can reduce household water heater operating costs by up to 62%.* The exhaust is cool, conditioned air that can reduce the temperature in the room where the heat pump water heater is installed. A heat pump water heater can, in most cases, fit into the same footprint as the standard model with no or very little additional costs for installation. The higher purchase price is offset by the energy savings, and the unit pays for itself in less than 4 years. Choose from 50 and 80 gallon capacity tanks!

*Based on EOE test procedure and comparison of a 50 gallon standard electric tank water heater using 4881 kwh per year vs. the GE Hybrid water heater using 1856 kwh per year.
